JOYCE A. SLOCHOWER, PhD in Psychology; Psychoanalyst,
lives and work in NYC. She is Professor and Supervisor of the N.Y.U.
Postdoctoral Program, of the Steven
Mitchell Center for Relational Psychoanalysis and of
various training institutes on Psychotherapy. She has written several papers
and books, including Excessive
Eating: The Role
of Emotions and Environment (1983), Holding and Psychoanalysis: A Relational
Approach (1996) and Psychoanalytic Collisions (2006).
Language: Prof. Slochower
will speak in English. A bilingual version of the papers she will be using
will be provided during the seminar. The oral interventions and debates will be
translated simultaneously (English-Spanish and vice-versa). The participants
will be able to participate in English or Spanish. Translation: María Hernández
